Born in Edmonton and raised in Whitecourt and Bragg Creek, Tynan has 18 years playing experience and 13 years of teaching. His enthusiasm and love of music rubs off on his students, who are given a self-directed curriculum including repertoire, studies and theory. He encourages all his students to push their musical limits.
Also an accomplished performer, Tynan can be seen playing with his band the Bobby Kork Orchestra, jazz guitar with various groups around southern Alberta, banjo on the odd German western movie, lap steel, dobro, piano occasionally.... He just loves to play. Tynan is available as a soloist for events, so give him a call.
Tynan holds a Jazz Performance Diploma from Mount Royal College here in Calgary as well as a Performance Diploma from Humber College in Toronto.
